Comprehensive Dental Care at
Iuka Family Dental
The goal of comprehensive dentistry is to have all of your dental concerns known and resolved before a dental emergency occurs. After all, there’s never a convenient time for a toothache or a broken tooth! We offer many dental services, including fillings, crowns, extraction, dentures, partials, cleaning, bleaching, and Invisalign®.
At Iuka Family Dental, we focus on quality preventive care because it enables us to diagnose problems while they're still small and utilize more conservative treatment plans. Early diagnosis and careful maintenance also minimize the chance of problems reoccurring, which can save you time and money on future dental work.

Periodontal (Gum) Care
According to the American Academy of Periodontology, 3 out of 4 Americans have some form of gum disease. If your gums feel tender, look red and swollen or bleed every time you floss, you could be at risk. Untreated gum disease has been linked to an increased risk of heart attack and stroke, so it’s important to keep up with your biannual dental checkups and cleanings.
Gum disease used to require surgery more often than not. While surgery is sometimes still the best option, we can now treat many cases with less invasive techniques such as local antibiotics, deep cleanings and medicated rinses.

Anxiety-Free Dentistry with Nitrous Oxide
Nitrous oxide, also known as laughing gas, is a colorless blend of oxygen and nitrous oxide gases. Inhaling nitrous oxide creates a sense of well-being and relaxation, which can help individuals who experience anxiety or fear about dental treatment feel more at ease. Nitrous oxide increases your pain threshold and, when necessary, makes the administration of anesthetic injections more comfortable. It is also helpful for patients who have a strong gag reflex that interferes with dental treatment.
- Nitrous oxide is one of the safest anti-anxiety agents used in dentistry and has very few side effects.
- Feelings of calm and relaxation are felt almost immediately, and breathing pure oxygen for several minutes after treatment completely reverses the effects.
- Nitrous oxide is non-addictive, and you will remain fully conscious throughout treatment.
- Administration is comfortable and painless, involving only a mask over the nose. This makes it an excellent option for children with dental anxieties and individuals with mental or physical disabilities.
